It's almost 4th of July and in honor of the holiday fireworks will be going off in Chicago.

Round-up of 2013 Macy's Fourth of July Performances

In Chicago, the place to see the fireworks is at the Navy Pier. On Friday, July 4, they will be sponsored by the Illinois Lottery and be going off at 9:30 p.m. USA Today even calls the Navy Pier "a favorite spot" and says the best views to see them are from the shoreline and from cruise boats on Lake Michigan. The fireworks will also have synchronized music and sound enhancing the display. According to a report, they'll be doing the same show the next night, as well, at around 10:15 p.m.

The Navy Pier 4th of July celebration isn't just about fireworks. It's also a daylong event full of music and beer. The Cirque Shanghai: Dragon's Thunder show will also be debuting with ticket prices from $15.90 to $19.90. The show is being billed as family friendly show with "performers and acrobats that hail directly from China." There will be shows at 2, 6, and 8 p.m. before the fireworks begin.

The Navy Pier will also have a Landshark beer garden with several live bands playing all day long.

In addition to all of this free activity, Freedom Fest 2014 will also be going at Navy Pier's rooftop. Tickets start at $32 and offers drinks, a DJ, and a BBQ. It's also one of the best places to watch the fireworks.

If you're still in Chicago on July 5, you can catch renowned DJ Afrojack playing at Navy Pier's East End. The show starts at 6 p.m. and you can get more information here.
