'Insidious 3' News: First Promo PHOTO Feat. A Sinister Looking Dermot Mulroney Revealed [VIDEO]
As it was recently announced that Dermot Mulroney will be playing one of the leads in the next chapter of Insidious, the movie's producer Blumhouse tweeted a first look at Mulroney looking like a menacing character to officially declare his association with the indie horror franchise, on June 25.
In the image Mulroney wears a slightly sinister look on his face and is shrouded by a tint of red in the image. The caption welcomes Mulroney to the Insdious family.
"The #Insidious family welcomes Dermot Mulroney to the cast. Chapter 3 is coming to theaters next year."
Insidious 2 Cliffhanger To Be Resolved In The Third Movie?
Seems like Mulroney will helm the new phase of the Insidious series taking the lead role as Patrick Wilson did in the first two Insidiousmovies. Though this is not to say that Mulroney will be replacing Wilson's character in the series, as it was revealed earlier this year thatInsidious 3 will feature new characters.
Mulroney's last major movie was August: Osage County which released in December last year.
It was recently also announced that A.N.T Farm star Stephanie Scott will be joining the cast of Insidious 3 on June 11.
Whannell also announced Scott joining the cast via Twitter:

Blum (Blumhouse Productions) will be co-producing the third film with Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity).
Insidious: Chapter 2 was released on Sept. 13 and topped the U.S. box office scoring $41.1 million over in its opening weekend. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey reprised their roles from the first film in the series.
The first film followed the story of the haunted Lambert family, whose son inexiplicably enters a comatose state and becomes a vessel for demons. In Insidious: Chapter 2, the married couple try to explore the secrets that tie them to the paranormal world and the demons that possessed their son.
The first installment in the franchise, Insidious, was made for only $1.5 million and released in 2010. The film went on to gross $97 million worldwide. Insidious: Chapter 2 was made for $5 million.
Insidious 3 will release in April 2015.
