‘True Blood’ Season 7: Jason And Eric Finally Get Together In Talked About Sex Scene, 'We're Just Having Fun' [VIDEO]
Fans had been waiting for this True Blood moment and it finally came in last night's episode. Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) got very close in an extra steamy scene.
Why Did Luke Grimes Really Leave True Blood?
It ended up being all of a dream, but Jason imagined getting super tight with vampire Eric on True Blood. "There was word on the street that a scene was coming," Kwanten told TV Line, "and to be honest, Alex and I had been - not necessarily begging to work together - but we'd been pondering the thought, 'What if we were ever put in a scene where it was just the two of us? What would happen?' And this is what our illustrious writers came up with."
Although fans were happy to see the two characters getting close, Kwanten didn't think it meant anything more for Jason and Eric. "Well, obviously, Jason has had these dreams before, with other vampires whose blood he's had," the actor said. "I mean, Eric's gotten himself into some trouble, and I think Jason sensed that."
Will Sookie And Bill Get Back Together For Season 7?
Skarsgard talked about the scene previously, saying he actually found the filming of it quite funny. "It was written like an Argentinean telenovela, totally over the top," Skarsgard said about the Jason-Eric scene. "It was tough because Ryan is incredibly funny. I couldn't stop laughing."
Kwanten admitted that filming the highly anticipated True Blood scene took "a couple of hours."
"I always have a lot of fun, and I think that's the important thing to remember," Kwanten also added. "We're just there to have fun and to stay true to the characters. Thinking back to this particular scene, I just remember Alex and I laughing a lot."
True Blood airs on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
