The 4th of July is just about here and the Phoenix metropolitan area is ready to show that Arizona has plenty of American pride.

The city and its surrounding area is set to have a bevy of events to celebrate U.S. independence, including fireworks displays, concerts and festivals throughout the entire holiday weekend.

A complete list of events can be found here, but you can find a sampling of some of the biggest events in the area below:

July 3:

Phoenix: Light up the Sky Event at Maryvale Baseball Park-This free event from 6:30-9:30 p.m. will feature music, bouncers for kids, games, arts, crafts, food and fireworks.

Scottsdale: Independence Day Music Festival featuring American Idol winner Phillip Phillips -- The concert at the Salt River Fields is being advertised as the largest fireworks show in the Valley. The Raging Fire singer will be joined by Sara Robinson and the Midnight Special, The Senators and Matt Kahler. Tickets range from roughly $20-40 each, and until July 1, the Morning Star Youth Council is holding its 3rd Annual Back Pack Drive, which involves participants bringing either backpacks full of school supplies, a Texas Instruments calendar or cash donations for a chance to win two tickets and meet & greet passes for after the show.

July 4:

Phoenix: Freedom Wireless Fabulous Phoenix Fourth at Steele Indian School Park: This free event from 6-10 p.m. features two stages of live local entertainment, a Kids Zone, a Classic Car exhibit, a "Splash Zone" area and over 50 vendor booths including food and beverages. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m.

Events are also scheduled throughout the weekend in Fort McDowell, Cave Creek, Anthem, Glendale, Chandler, Tempe, Litchfield Park, Peoria, Surprise, Casa Grande and Goodyear.

Other big events in Arizona a July 3 concert in Tucson, Ariz. featuring Kid Rock, as well a showing of Jeff Dunham's Disorderly Conduct tour on July 5. Both events are scheduled at the Casino del Sol Resort. Tickets for the Kid rock concert range from $61.50-$151.50 each, while the Jeff Dunham tickets are between $40-85.
