Doctor Who will bring back some old faces for the season 8 finale, and none of them bode well for the newly regenerated Time Lord.

Although Doctor Who fans are still eagerly awaiting the season 8 premiere, the BBC series is already filming a two-part finale. With cybermen and UNIT soldiers battling it out in the streets, it looks like The Doctor will have rough ending to his first year on the job.

The emotionless metal men may be taking the city by storm, but Twelve and Clara (Jenna Louise Coleman) will not be facing the deleting menace alone. Along with a small UNIT force, Doctor Who TV has reported that the Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere will also be on hand.

Played by Michelle Gomez, the Gatekeeper will have a distinctly Mary Poppins appearance (umbrella and all) and a steely gaze that could make even the Doctor take pause.

The two-episode season 8 finale was penned by showrunner Steven Moffat and is currently being directed by Rachel Talalay.
