The Fourth of July celebrations across the United States are expected to be big, but one of the best is set to occur in none other than the nation's capital city, Washington D.C.

The annual fireworks show from the National Mall is set to take place once again, lighting up the skies around the National Mall, Washington and Lincoln Memorials and U.S. Capitol Building compliments of the National Parks Service.

The fireworks extravaganza is scheduled to begin at 9:10 p.m., and is expected to last a total of 17 minutes. Viewing areas for the show will be at the Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, The Mall between 14th and 3rd Streets, F.D.R. Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, The White House Ellipse, West Potomac Park, East Potomac Park, Anacostia Park and at the U.S. Marine Corps War memorial and George Washington Memorial Parkway in Virginia.

The annual PBS Capitol Fourth Concert is also scheduled to take place, and admission is free to the event, which begins at 8 p.m. on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building. The PBS telecast will be hosted by Dancing with the Stars and America's Funniest Home Videos host Tom Bergeron, and will feature performances by Frankie Valli, composer John Williams, Pattie Labelle, Phillip Phillips, Jordin Sparks, Michael McDonald, Sara Evans, The Muppets, Kendall Schmidt, Kelli O'Hara, Jack Everly, the National Symphony Orchestra, Choral Arts Society of Washington, The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own," The U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, The U.S. Army Presidential Salute Battery, The Joint Armed Forces Chorus and the Military District of Washington.
