Can Grant Ward Receive Redemption Akin To The Winter Solider On 'Agents of SHIELD'?
As of Wednesday, the creative minds behind the ABC series reconvened to start churning out ideas for season 2.
"The Marvel's #AgentsofSHIELD writers have reported for duty," stated the Agents of SHIELD Twitter. "Just a couple of months until Season 2!"
Can Coulson Cure His Current Crazy State On 'Agents of SHIELD'? Old TAHITI Research Could Hold Key
With Director Coulson's (Clark Gregg) brain on the fritz, Skye's (Chloe Bennet) monstrous parents on her trail, and Fitz (Ian De Caestecker) still recovering from his time underwater (see video below), these scribes have a lot of lose ends to tie up as fans anxiously await the premiere.
While the exact writing staff for the 2014-2015 season is unclear, season 1 saw scripts from Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen (series co-creators) as well as several from Jeffery Bell ("Ragtag"), Paul Zbyszewski ("Nothing Personal"), Monica Breen ("Seeds"), DJ Doyle ("Nothing Personal"), Brent Fletcher ("Providence"), Shalisha Francis ("Yes Men"), Rafe Judkins ("T.R.A.C.K.S."), and Lauren Le Franc ("The Hub").
Just as Agents of SHIELD intersected with Captain America: The Winter Soldier in April and Thor: The Dark World in November, there is a very good possibility that the series' last few episodes of season 2 will have something to do with the events of next May's The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Considering Agent Triplett (BJ Britt) was reportedly seen on the film's set, the series' writers will probably be structuring the season around the Marvel Cinematic Universe once more.
After all, it's all connected.
Agents of SHIELD will return to ABC this fall.
