Maggie Isn't The First Of Hal's Girlfriends Ben Liked On 'Falling Skies', Drew Roy Explains Past Problems

While Karen used to speak for her unnamed masters while the stood menacingly beside her, as indistinct as blades of grass, season 4 has already introduced two Espheni that have their own identities. First there was Scorch at the prison, and now Lexi (Scarlett Byrne) has encountered an alien the humans refer to as The Monk.

"For the first time we meet overlords as characters," Connor Jessup (Ben) explained in a behind-the-scenes video for "The Eye." "One of the overlords is called The Monk. He's sadistic and cruel and manipulative, but at the same time you learn things about them and about their intentions that make you reconsider - or question, at least - things you thought you knew."

Maggie Laid Down Arms On 'Falling Skies', Can Hal Talk Her Into Battle Mode Or Will Ben Take The Lead?

Named for his long robe and concealing hood, The Monk unfortunately appears to have quite a bit of sway over Lexi. If he is as manipulative as Jessup describes, there is no way this will end well for the youngest Mason.
