The drama continues for Rookie Blue's fifth season as each of the detectives faced major issues on the Thursday, July 3 episode.

The Truth Behind Gail's Drastic Haircut

As for Andy, she has had a gut feeling that Duncan is not ready for the pressures that come with being an officer, and he has now shown his true colors. Andy came to a high tension moment when she tried to rescue a child from an infamous gang member.

Sam's Sister Reveals Andy's Biggest Fear About Him

She called Duncan for backup but for some reason he just could not get it together and stopped just down the street. When Andy asked why he never showed, he lied and said his radio battery died. Of course Andy didn't buy his tale and Duncan ended up being suspended and investigated.

Sam has to awkwardly clear things up with his colleagues who have assumed that he and Andy are back together since she broke up with Nick and told Sam she loved him while he was fighting for his life in the hospital. Traci mentioned Sam's change in attitude since he and Andy got back together--Or so she thought. Sam clarified and told her, "We're not back together. We have agreed that we're friends."

Still, he didn't hesitate to comfort Andy when it came to her frustrations with Duncan.

He told her, "You're one of the best I've ever seen. You had a feeling about this guy and you were right. You've got to trust that. I think you're feeling the way you're feeling because you believe in people and you know they can be better. It's what makes you who you are."

Andy agreed and kissed Sam!

As for Nick, he buried his sorrow and found a distraction in Chloe and Dov. Chloe reached out to Nick to figure out why Dov had not touched her since she left the hospital. Dov revealed he was afraid that he would hurt Chloe because of her recovery. Nick told him, "She's ready. Believe me."

Chris showed his dark side and revealed his struggle with drug abuse and Gail finds out she has a daughter!

It will be interesting to see these two story lines play out during the season.
