The Fourth of July has officially arrived in New York City, and a little rain doesn't seem to be dampening the plans for the annual Macy's fireworks extravaganza later in the evening.

The 38th Annual spectacular is still scheduled to be lighting up the night skies above New York, with the first fireworks set to be exploding over the Brooklyn Bridge beginning at 9 p.m., with several musical acts scheduled to perform even earlier.

Starting at 8 p.m., viewers not located in New York City can tune in to NBC to see performances by major chart-toppers, including the Zac Brown band, Enrique Iglesias and Ariana Grande.

Frozen actress and current star of the Broadway smash musical If/Then Idina Menzel is also scheduled to perform during the telecast, alongside the DIVA Jazz Orchestra, Charlie Daniels Band, Billy Porter and Essential Voices USA. Together they will all participate in a special 25-minute musical score celebrating the 200th anniversary of The Star-Spangled Banner.

For those who are in New York and wish to watch the show from Manhattan, it is recommended arriving early in order to get a good spot near the Macy's barges where the fireworks will be shot from.

Access points in Manhattan will include Montgomery and South Streets for viewing along the FDR between Manhattan Bridge and Montgomery Street, Brooklyn Bridge entry from both St. James Place and Wagner Place, Broad Street and/or Old Slip at Water Street, Esplanade viewing from South Street Seaport to Houston Street, and an ADA viewing area at the Murray Bergtraum High School track and field facility at the base of the Manhattan Bridge.

Special viewing areas are also available in Brooklyn, at Brooklyn bridge Park (Piers 1-6) and the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade, as well as in Queens.
