A new trailer for season 8 features the instantly recognizable and always terrifying voice of a Dalek. While the pepper pot of hate isn't shouting it's regular battle cry, the Dalek is taunting the newest regeneration of the Doctor (Peter Capaldi).

"I see into your soul, Doctor. I see beauty, divinity, hatred," a normal voice says before becoming undeniably Dalek in tone as it spits out the final word. Meanwhile, the TARDIS control room is spitting fire and the Doctor is soon electrocuted to the point that his skeleton and his two hearts are illuminated like a Christmas tree.

Season 8 will kick off with a feature length premiere on Aug. 23, but the Dalek's aren't expected to come into play until episode 2. Although the episode's title is still unknown, the Phil Ford penned episode is expected to go "behind enemy lines," according to Doctor Who TV.

First, however, Twelve and Clara will head back to Victorian London to meet up with the Paternoster Gang in "Deep Breath." Consisting of Madame Vastra (Neve McIntosh), Jenny Flint (Catrin Stewart), and Strax (Dan Starkey), the season 8 premiere will acclimate viewers to the new Doctor while surrounding him with familiar characters.
