Witches of East End is about to premiere its second season, which will involve love triangles, a search for Killian and Joanna fighting to survive.

More Details On Frederick

On Friday, SheKnows reported how the second season will begin, and where it will lead to.

"In the premiere, we pick up a week later," series creator Maggie Friedman said. "Joanna is still struggling, she's not doing so well healthwise, and while Wendy, Joanna and Ingrid know that the portal opened, they all suffered a memory loss on who came through. And Freya's trying to figure out where Killian is, while Dash has to contend with the aftermath of wondering if he really did kill his brother."

The second season ought to be something for fans to have fun with since Friedman mentioned the different style that was added to the series.

"This season is darker than last year, we wanted to take it to darker, scarier, sexier places, but there's still a lot of humor," she said. "The look of the show's changed a lot, too, which I'm really excited about."

Friedman also revealed that they have a new director of photography who brought the show to a new visual level.

"It looks amazing, and we're telling some crazy cool stories," she said.

The creator then said that Frederick will be one to watch out for since there's some conflict if he can be trusted or not.

Witches of East End Season 2 premieres on Sunday, July 6 at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
