'Arrow' Season 3 Spoilers: 'Batman' Villain Ra's al Ghul To Wreak Havoc In Chapter 3 Of The CW Series? [VIDEO]
In a recent interview, filmmaker Kevin Smith who has also worked on issues of Green Arrow comics, hinted at the fact that Batman villain Ra's al Ghul might feature in the season 3 of Arrow.
Speaking with comedian Neal Adams, on a Fat Man on Batman podcast Smith dished on the possibility of the villain making an appearance. When Adam's brought Ghul up suggesting that it was being rumored that he might stop by Arrow's third season, Smith responded in the affirmative, saying, "Yeah, I've heard. They were casting like six months ago."
Adams also went on to tease fans with some insider information he seemed to have, and suggested that Ghul's avatar on Arrow might even beat the version fans have seen in Christopher Nolan't Batman films.

"I think they could do a better Ra's al Gul. I have a feeling they are heading for that on the Arrow TV show," he said. "Something's going on there, and if it's who I think it is, it's going to be pretty exciting."
The official press release for season 3 of the show was also released earlier this month:
"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. He returned home to Starling City, bent on righting the wrongs of his family and fighting injustice.
To do this, he creates the persona of the Arrow and allies himself with former military man John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), street brawler Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) and international assassin Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), while keeping his secret from those closest to him including his sister Thea (Willa Holland), who has allied herself with his most deadly enemy. Rivalries and allegiances will shift as Oliver faces his most difficult challenge yet."
The finale of season 2 of Arrow aired on May 14 on the CW.
Season 3 premieres on October 8 on The CW.
