The recent announcement of Taye Diggs joining the cast of The Good Wife for season 6 has also alluded to the fact that Florrick/Agos will be getting stronger and might give Lockhart/Gardner a run for its money.

What We Know About The Next Chapter Of The CBS Legal Drama So Far

An E!Online report revealed a few details about Digg's character in the show. He will play Dean Levine-Wilkins, who has been described as a "meticulous" and "talented" equity partner at Lockhart/Gardner. Wilkins will actually movie with Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) to Florrick/Agos.

The creators of the show, Robert and Michelle King also talked about their excitement at getting Diggs on board.

"We couldn't be more excited to have Taye on the show," the Kings said in a statement. "We've been huge fans for years, and love his ability to play comedy and drama with equal ease."

Seems like Diane will be worth a lot to Florrick/Agos as she will not only being more clout, new clients and a weighty partner (Dean) but a much coveted asset with Kalinda (Archia Panjabi). The creators have suggested that it is likely that she will make good on that move and Kalinda will go with her, despite her reigning tensions with Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry).

The highlight of the finale for season 5 was Eli Gould (Alan Cumming) proposing Alicia (Julianna Margulies) become a candidate for State's Attorney. The cliffhanger obviously had to do with the big decision Alicia will have to take now.

The finale, titled A Weird Year, aired on May 18.

Season 6 of The Good Wife will premiere on CBS on September 21.
