'Transformers 5' Spoilers: Starscream To Feature In Sequel Of 'Transformers 4: Age of Extinction?' [VIDEO]
As Transformers 4: Age of Extinction just made some big bucks at the box office, spoilers for its sequel have already begun to surface. Fans have begun to express their wishes for what they expect from Transformers 5 and it seems like a favorite villain figures on that.
There is a bid to get Starscream -- who featured in the first two Transformers films -- back with the fifth instalment. It is also being believed as Starscream can never be destroyed, wokring him back into the storyline shouldn't be an issue.
But only time will tell if the producers and writers will consider doing something like this. It has already been suggested that Lockdown might be resuscitated for Transformers 5, so he is most likely to take the antagonistic throne.
In an interview with IGN dated July 5, producer Lorenzo do Bonaventura spoke about the new villain, Lockdown, who was introduced in Age of Extinction and if there was any chance of him returning in the sequel after he was destroyed in the the fourth instalment.
"He's hostile towards anybody who gets in his way, and he's been given a task," the producer said of the character. "The task is to grab Optimus Prime. So as far as he's concerned, get rid of everybody and isolate. His antagonism...I don't think is personal in a certain way; it's just business, as they say in the mob movies. You know, he's a character that we don't know exactly who he's working for, but you get the sense that he's not comfortable not delivering for them. I think he's also very frustrated because he's clearly been at this for awhile, trying to track these guys down. So he's reached a point of exasperation I think, more than anything."
The publication went onto inquire if Lockdown, who was annihilated at the end of the movie, might be resuscitated like Megatron who came back in a new avatar as Galvatron.
"You don't really know until you see it," Bonaventura said. "We learn how cool he's going to look later on. So at the point where we learned just how cool and crazy his introduction was, if nothing else -- that's just one of the great introductions. One of my favorite shots in the whole movie is when he comes walking out of that dark cloud of smoke, and the spaceship's behind him. You're just like, 'What the hell is going on!?' Then you go, 'Holy cow, what a great villain.' We haven't talked about whether he would come back or not. Megatron has come back in different iterations and has now gone forward, if you would, and evolved. We'll see."
