'Transformers 5' Spoilers: New Version Of Megatron To Create Menace On Earth In Sequel Of 'Age of Extinction?' [VIDEO]
As Transformers 4: Age of Extinction raked in the big bucks at the box office in its first week, buzz about the sequel is already doing the rounds and speculative reports are already working the details of the plot.
Starscream To Feature In Sequel Of Transformers 4: Age of Extinction?
It was being suggested that Transformers 5 would now take place entirely in space as Optimus Prime takes off to find his creators in Cybertron. But a new report has other theories to offer and believes that planet earth will very much be a part of the plot. The main basis of this theory is the fact that a revitalized Megatron still roams the mortal sphere and is likely to wreak havoc again, which might bring Optimus Prime back to save and lead the autobots back home.
Recently, in an interview with IGN dated July 5, producer Lorenzo do Bonaventura spoke about Lockdown, who was introduced in Age of Extinction, and if there was any chance of him returning in the sequel after he was destroyed in the the fourth instalment.

"He's hostile towards anybody who gets in his way, and he's been given a task," the producer said of the character. "The task is to grab Optimus Prime. So as far as he's concerned, get rid of everybody and isolate. His antagonism...I don't think is personal in a certain way; it's just business, as they say in the mob movies. You know, he's a character that we don't know exactly who he's working for, but you get the sense that he's not comfortable not delivering for them. I think he's also very frustrated because he's clearly been at this for awhile, trying to track these guys down. So he's reached a point of exasperation I think, more than anything."
The publication went onto inquire if Lockdown, who was annihilated at the end of the movie, might be resuscitated like Megatron who came back in a new avatar as Galvatron. Bonaventura suggested that it was likely.
Transformers: Age of Extinction will hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
