'Fast and Furious 7' News: Michelle Rodriguez Tribute To Paul Walker With Vin Diesel, States, 'Hope We Make You Proud' [VIDEO}
As filming for Fast and Furious 7 is finally over, Michelle Rodriguez made the announcement while remembering Paul Walker.
On July 11, she posted an image on Instagram featuring her and Vin Diesel with a heartbreaking message and a tribute to Walker.
In the picture Rodriguez, who portrays Letty Ortiz in the movie, and Diesel, who plays the part of Dominic Toretto, are seen in a swanky black leather-apholstered car. In her note with the shot, Rodriguez reminisced about the team's 15 years with the franchise, and how rough it was to finish filming without Walker in the seventh instalment.
"Ride or Die through thick and thin 15 yrs later surreal to think we made it through such a tough painful production. But this ones for you P I hope we make you proud love you," she wrote.
Walker died on Nov. 30 in a car crash in Santa Clarita, Calif. He was the passenger in a car being driven by his friend, race car driver Roger Rodas, who also died in the accident. The speeding car hit a tree and instantly burst into flames, causing both the actor and Rodas to die on the spot. The 40-year-old actor was halfway through filming Fast and Furious 7. Walker's brothers Cody and Caleb came on board to help finish his character arc for Brian O'Connor in the movie.
Fast and Furious 7 will take off from where Fast and Furious 6 left off. James Wan took over the director's role from Justin Lin, who announced earlier in the year that he will step away from directing the franchise.
The cast for the seventh installment reprising their roles include Diesel, Rodriguez, Luke Evans, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster. UFC Womens Bantam weight champion Ronda Rousey and ONG Bak star Tony Jaa will also star in the film.
Fast and Furious 7 will hit theaters in April 3, 2015.
