While fans wait to see Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga display their friendship on Bravo's The Real Housewives of New Jersey, an insider reveals their newfound bond is 100 percent phony.

Melissa Gorga 'Shelters' Her Children From Teresa Giudice's Legal Issues

They told Radar Online Thursday, "Teresa and Melissa aren't friends, not even close. The only time they talk to each other or interact is when filming Housewives, or promoting it."

Even though the sister-in-laws might not have truly squashed their ongoing feud, the source added they both felt it was time to at least pretend like it was over.

Teresa Giudice's 'RHONJ' Don't Support Her As She Mourn Father-In-Law's Death?

"They both decided the arguing on camera had to stop because it made them both look really bad."

But their tainted friendship doesn't end with them. The source also shed light on Giudice's relationship with her brother.

"Teresa's relationship with her brother Joe, Melissa's husband, isn't much better. Although they do talk and text each other on the telephone, Joe isn't happy with the way Melissa was treated by Teresa in the past, and just can't forget it."

Melissa particularly has an issue with Giudice's decision to film her daughters dealing with Giudice's legal drama after Giudice and her husband, Joe Giudice, pleaded guilty to serious fraud and bankruptcy charges.

"It's very upsetting to Melissa that her eldest niece, Gia, is being shown in commercials for the show, crying. This is obviously a very difficult time for Teresa and her husband, Joe [but] Melissa would never allow her children to be filmed or exploited if she were in Teresa's situation."

But another insider suggested Teresa's co-stars are just jealous of her.

"Teresa has such a huge storyline this season, and the show would be nothing without her!"
