Vee may have met a "certain fate" in the Season 2 finale of Orange is the New Black, but the actress who played her is not ruling out a potential return for the third season.

"Karma" Could Be Coming For Fig on Orange is the New Black Next Season

Lorraine Toussaint, who played Vee in the second season of Orange is the New Black, sat down with Access Hollywood Thursday to discuss her villainous character and whether there was any possibility that she would return for Season 3.

"She did meet a certain fate at the very end, but knowing Vee... is she dead?" Toussaint posited. "I think she's dead, but then again, you know, you never know."

Toussaint also spoke about her big scene in the penultimate episode of the season, which featured her exposing her breasts while in bed in a flashback scene. For the 54-year-old actress, she believes that she was in the right window for onscreen nudity.

"You should either be nude in your 20s or after your 50s," Toussaint explained. "When you're in your 20s you really should because, good lord, they are gorgeous! And then [in your] 50s you kind of don't care."

She added that the role called for nudity in that moment, though she had tried to get around it.

"It was really tough though," she admitted, "but once you do it, it's like what else is there?"

Toussaint was also very happy for her co-stars, five of which were nominate for Emmys on Thursday. Among those nominated were Taylor Schilling (who plays Piper), Kate Mulgrew (Red), Uzo Aduba (Suzanne a.k.a. "Crazy Eyes"), Laverne Cox (Sophia) and Natasha Lyonne (Nicky).

"I texted Uzo right away," she said. "Kate is an old friend also so I'll reach out to her." Both Aduba and Mulgrew were frequently acting onscreen with Toussaint. Only the first season of the show was eligible for this year's Emmys so Toussaint was not able to get a nomination herself, though she will be eligible at the 2015 Emmys.

Orange is the New Black Season 3 does not have a specific Netflix release date yet, but it will likely be returning in Summer 2015. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently available for streaming on the site.
