'Total Recall' Poster Revealed: Movie Panel at Comic-Con 2012 Today
The new poster of the sci-fi film "Total Recall," a remake from the 1990 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone has been revealed.
The poster features stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel with a space station in the background.
It has been criticized for its weird proportions and a writer for Forbes called it "a contender for the worst poster of 2012."
"The poster is an incoherent mish-mash of badly scaled ideas. Kate Beckinsale brushes past Westminster Clock Tower like a gun-toting Godzilla. Jessica Biel’s proportions look…off somehow, as if her head were bigger than the rest of her body," the writer, Carol Pinchefsky, said in an article on Forbes.
A panel for "Total Recall" at the San Diego Comic-Con 2012 convention is expected to be hold Friday afternoon and new footage could be shown.
Farrell recently talked about his role as Doug Quaid in the film (played by Schwarzenegger in the original.)
"I found it continuously challenging, not just in a physical way, but in an emotional way and in an intellectual way, and hopefully that comes across. And there’s action sequences so spectacular that it’ll be worth your two hours and ten dollars – or your ten euros!" Farrell told Celebrity Gossip at a photo call in Paris on Monday.
The film is about a factory worker named Douglas Quaid, who's got a beautiful wife but seems to have a frustrating life. When he decides to visit "Rekall" a company that turns dreams into real memories for a "mind-trip" the procedure goes horribly wrong and he finds himself on the run from the police.
The movie will debut in theaters in August 3.
