'Arrow' Season 3 Spoilers: First Look PHOTOS From The Set Feat. Oliver And Laurel Revealed [VIDEO]
As filming for season 3 of Arrow has begun, the first batch of images from the set of the CW series was revealed over the past week, courtesy Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen.
The Atom To Romance Felicity Making Oliver Jealous In Next Chapter?
Amell posted pictures on Facebook from behind-the-scenes of the first three days of filming from July 9 through 11. The actor is seen smeared in blue ink in one of the images, looks like he was getting some makeup off. In the other shot from day 2 he is seen in his superhero avatar as the Arrow, standing in a boxing ring. In the last photo he is seem with two other stars from the show, one of whom is Katie Cassidy, who plays Laurel Lance in the series.
The synopsis for the first episode of season 3 was also recently revealed and it states that Oliver will actually be pursuing his lady love as he will ask Felicity out on a date.
What We Know So Far About The Next Chapter Of Arrow
The official press release for season 3 of the show was also released earlier this month:
"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. He returned home to Starling City, bent on righting the wrongs of his family and fighting injustice.
To do this, he creates the persona of the Arrow and allies himself with former military man John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), street brawler Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) and international assassin Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), while keeping his secret from those closest to him including his sister Thea (Willa Holland), who has allied herself with his most deadly enemy. Rivalries and allegiances will shift as Oliver faces his most difficult challenge yet."
The finale of season 2 of Arrow aired on May 14 on the CW.
Season 3 premieres on October 8 on The CW.
