The second season of Reign is definitely going to be one to watch out for ever since the synopsis got released that does not bring anything positive for any of the characters.

On Monday, TV Fanatic posted what's to come in the first episodes that will mostly revolve around the plague. Mary and Francis will be on the throne as the illness comes through and will be a lot worse than what some may have anticipated for. The site described the plague as "a disease that creeps inside the castle walls, taking thousands upon thousands of lives across the land, and ravages the stability of a nation."
It turns out that this disease will not be the only one taking lives. As Mary and Francis struggle as the leaders, "powerful lords" are expected to come with a vengeance, leading to murder and betrayal.
Queen Catherine Will Deal With 'Power Structures'
The synopsis then mentioned another deadly force that will be making its way onto the series- except this one could be worse than the plague and the lords combined.
"Meanwhile, a mysterious and deadly threat snatches victims from village streets and castle corridors; leaving evidence of savagery that looks like the work of monsters," the plot reads. "Mythical creatures who are the subject of nightmares, but who walk among us, doing the Devil's bidding."
This gives some more anticipation on whose lives will be taken, and if any of the bigger characters will be the ones to worry about.
Reign Season 2 is expected to premiere on Thursday, October 2 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
