It looks like The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks has found a way to cope with the idea of her husband, Apollo Nida, going to federal prison for 8 years.

Phaedra Parks 'Works' As Distraction From Apollo Nida's Legal Woes

An insider revealed to Hollywood Life Monday that the lawyer-turned-reality star wants to have an open marriage while her husband is away.

"Pheadra is well aware that Apollo has not always been faithful, so she has decided to turn the tables on him and be a free bird herself. When Apollo told Phaedra during the season six reunion, 'Everybody cheats...I hope [Phaedra] uses a condom,' she really took those words to heart. Now she's been getting to know other guys."

Parks' newfound willingness to step out on her marriage while her husband is behind bars might not be too shocking considering Nida seemed to call her out for not being supportive.

Nida tweeted on July 10, "I got a question ??? Who will ride with me?? Thanks".

While the tweet has since been erased, this is a different tune than Nida was singing when he revealed he thinks Parks should wait for and stand by him while he is in prison.

"Whatever's been thrown at me, I deal with it. I would like to say I would want her to stay around and do what a wife should do...When [my son Ayden] cries out for me, and I'm not there for him, then potentially who knows what could happen?" Nida said before his July 8 sentence. "Let's just say hypothetically, my wife wants to go somewhere else, that means another man will be in my household. I don't want that for my child."
