Cook added that the knowledge had made her "more paranoid" and wary of people in general.

"Of course, it's made me more paranoid and maybe I look at people a little differently at times," she said. "But yeah, I think it's all been for the better, because I was very naive and I would trust anyone, which I don't think is a horrible quality either, but people don't always have the best intentions."

She also spoke about how much she treasured her fans' support, especially considering how they brought her back on the show by way of popular demand when CBS was planning on dropping her at some point in season 6.

"I think the only thing more shocking than being let go was the response about it," she said. "Never in a million years would I have expected that response so I am indebted to the fans who spoke up and made their voices heard."

The whole experience taught her a lot and she suggested that now every day at work is, in a way, a tribute to her fans. "I was incredibly humbled by the whole experience and every day I go to work since I came back, I'm doing it for the fans and making sure I'm giving it my 100% - I don't want to let anyone down, you know," she said.

The second and final part of the finale, Demons, aired on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
