To promote his latest album, Mandatory Fun, Weird Al is dropping one music video a day for eight days, with his third video now coming out. As Vulture wrote on Wednesday, this particular video is for a song called Foil a parody of Lorde's Royals.
For this particular video, Yankovic partnered with College Humor. Foil also features cameos from comedian Patton Oswalt as well as Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant, who both starred in the improvisational Comedy Central show Reno 9-1-1, and who also have written many big Hollywood movies over the years. Foil follows Tacky a parody of Pharrell Williams' Happy and Word Crimes, a spoof of Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines.

In a recent conversation on the popular podcast Comedy Bang! Bang!, the predecessor of the IFC show of the same name, Yankovic gave some information on the other music videos that have yet to be debuted. This was Yankovic's final album he needed to release on his long-term contract, and he has made comments indicating that this may be his last big release. While rumors that he was retired have been shown to be unfounded, it is also possible this is the last true album for Weird Al, who released his first album way back in 1983, many years before Lorde was even born. As such, perhaps it is not surprising that he is going out with a bang by producing eight music videos. The first two went over very well online, and if people don't get tired of Weird Al after a few videos, that should continue.
