The CBS drama filmed their season 6 premiere last spring and the Special Operations team will move on to a new adventure on Aug. 4 following their finale/premiere submarine two-parter.
In addition to the previously filmed premiere and one episode directed by O'Donnell (Callen), NCIS: LA will film three more episodes during August. First up will be a storyline directed by executive producer Peter Kousakis, second will be an episode from veteran NCIS and NCIS: LA director Dennis Smith, and third will be an installment directed by Diana Valentine.

When NCIS: LA picks up after the summer hiatus, Callen and Sam (LL Cool J) will still be fighting for their lives on a bomb-laden submarine during "Deep Trouble: Part 2." As those two battle beneath the waves, Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) will take to the air to track down their missing teammates.
