While there's no doubt that Jennifer Lopez has received plenty of awards and accolades during her career, she's probably never received an honor like this. A group of scientists recently named a Puerto Rico water mite after the singer, after discovering the species near the Caribbean island.

According to Fox News, Biologist Vladimir Peric said in an email that the Bronx-born entertainer just happened to be on the mind of the team of scientists he was working with while they were brainstorming for name ideas.
"The reason behind the unusual choice of name for the species is simple," Pesic explained. "Jennifer Lopez' songs and videos kept the team in a continuous good mood when writing the manuscript and watching World Cup Soccer 2014."
Is Jennifer Lopez Objectifying Men In Her Music Videos?
Some of the scientists' favorite songs included Ain't It Funny, I Luh Ya Papi, and All I Have.
It doesn't look like Lopez would seem to mind as the Hollywood star recently revealed her own humorous side as well. She secretly video recorded her best friend, actress Leah Remini, while she was dancing to Jay-Z in a new clip on Monday.
Lopez, who appears to be riding in the back seat of an SUV along with Remini, were on their way to the Hamptons in the video. She held her camera up with the front-facing camera on, while appearing to take a selfie, but was secretly recording her friend instead. She captured Remini head-bobbing and singing along to a Jay-Z song.
Lopez captioned the video with, Effing with my click. LOL. @leahremini #besties #pottymouth #bronx #brooklynsindahouse."
