'The Flash' CW Season Premiere: Big Events Are Being Discussed, Including Killer Frost For The Main Villian? [VIDEO]
Arrow has been a big success for The CW Network, so much so that they have used it to spinoff The Flash, another superhero show, this one about Barry Allen's exploits as the super speedy do gooder.
There has been a lot of information doled out about the show already, including several trailers, but as Carter Matt reported on Thursday, there is still more information out there. Several more details about the upcoming show have been released by the network.
The information is quite in depth, giving further detail into the personality of Allen, and his transformation into The Flash. Other key characters, such as Joe West, Harrison Wells, Caitlin Snow, and Cisco Ramon, are all established as well. In essence, the folks at The CW seem to want viewers to have as much information on The Flash as they desire. Some big events are being discussed although there will surely be plenty more surprises, and probably some romance since it is The CW, to be unveiled. In particular, the character of Caitlin Snow, in the comics, becomes the villain Killer Frost. Presumably the show including her for that specific reason.
Will Arrow cross over with The Flash?
Grant Gustin, who has already played Barry Allen twice on Arrow, will now be headlining his own show. The show debuts October 7, the day before Arrow begins its third season. The CW will hope that The Flash follows in the footsteps of Arrow and finds success. Unlike your typical superhero fare, these shows hew toward a teenage audience, given the target demographic of the network.
