'Hunger Games: Mockingjay' News: Motion Posters Feature Peeta & Johanna Trapped At The Capitol, Standing 'Tall And True' [VIDEO]
It seems like the marketing for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 is about to hit full swing after some more viral trailers hit the web this past month, and the trailer was announced to premiere at this week's San Diego Comic-Con. But now, the movie has released motion posters of two major characters.
Featuring Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Johanna (Jena Malone) in full Capitol regalia, the posters feature a rousing score coupled with the characters turning, but with stoic looks. Their demeanor resembles the most recent teaser trailer, Unity, which featured Peeta and Johanna with President Snow (Donald Sutherland) asking those to follow the lead of the government.
The posters were released Tuesday on the movie-affiliated website, Capitol Couture.
"Peeta stands tall and true in his Capitol Citizen Living Portrait, his matte leather Unconditional ensemble showcasing a stone-like texture and channeling the victor's quiet strength," the site characterizes Peeta's all-white look.
His collar also "mirrors the sculptural elements" in Johanna's dress, and her outfit is described as having a "white bodice [that] references the branch motif of the Panem Seal."
It seems like as of now, the marketing has been keen on featuring these two characters who were captured by President Snow at the end of the last Hunger Games film, Catching Fire.
Several actors from the film, including Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer, will make an appearance at Comic-Con on Friday.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a script by Danny Strong. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Hutcherson, Malone, Sutherland, Jeffrey Wright, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Stanley Tucci, and Sam Claflin. Mockingjay: Part 1 also introduces Julianne Moore as President Coin.
