Sage Stallone Wasn't Dead for 3 Days, Attorney Says
The lawyer of Sage Stallone dismissed claims that Sylvester's Stallone 36-year-old son was dead for at least three days before the housekeeper found his body.
Stallone's body was discovered in his Los Angeles home on Friday. A law enforcement source said he was dead in his room for at least three days and up to a week, according to celebritie's site TMZ.
But George Braunstein, Sage's lawyer and longtime friend, dismissed such suggestions. He said that photos of Sage were posted to his Facebook page "only 17 hours before he was found," according to People Magazine on Saturday.
He also dismissed reports that Sage was alcohol or drug addicted.
"Sage didn't even drink," he told People. "There was a report that his room was filled with liquor bottles. Actually, they were empty bottles of Dr. Brown's Cream Soda."
An autopsy for Sage was completed Sunday, according to TMZ, but the results will be released after toxicology reports become available about 4 to 6 weeks later, TMZ reports.
The cause of death remains unknown although several tabloids claim it was an overdose of pills.
Sage was an aspiring actor and filmmaker and was going to get married. He starred with his dad in "Rocky V" and in "Daylight" also co-starring with his father.
The 36 year old was engaged to be married, and was working on numerous film projects at the time of his death. He had acted in movies "Daylight" and "Rocky V" - both with his father.
In 1996, he and film editor Bob Murawski co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a Los Angeles based company dedicated to the restoration and preservation of exploitation films.
In recent years, Stallone directed his first short film Vic which screened at the 2006 Palm Springs, California Film Festival.
