The new showrunner at ABC's Dancing With the Stars is hoping to enlist one of the most famous reality TV judges in history for the upcoming 19th season of the show.

Rob Wade, who is taking over for Conrad Green on Dancing With the Stars, is hoping to get former American Idol judge Simon Cowell to be a guest judge on the dance competition this fall.

"He is a phenomenal talent," Wade told TheTVPage in a new interview this week. "I would love him to come and guest judge on our show. I have got to find out when he is in LA."

This may not be too out of reach as Wade as previous experience working as a producer on The X Factor with Cowell. Wade seems to be confident that the three permanent judges will all be back in the fall.

"For the moment, we are looking at three. There is a possibility for a fourth," he revealed. "We are talking about that possibility. But we have to see. I think you have just got to get the right mix of people. I think Bruno [Tonioli], Len [Goodman] and Carrie Ann [Inaba] are brilliant. Certainly wouldn't lose any of them..."

Despite Wade being brought on as a replacement for Green, he said that he suggested that he won't be shaking up the DWTS format too much, though there could be a few changes.

"Look, viewers love the show. I would be a fool to go in there and say, 'I want to put my stamp on this. I am going to go in there and shake things up.'" he said. "But there are a couple of significant changes that I am in the process of making that I think people will notice."

The cast for the upcoming season will likely be released in late August.

Dancing With the Stars Season 19 is set to air its premiere on Monday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
