Phaedra Parks of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta has reportedly decided to step away from the show for the time being to deal with her family issues as her husband, Apollo Nida, is set to serve eight years in federal prison.

Apollo Nida Talks Spiritual Revelation Amid Legal Woes

Parks has reached her breaking point and wants to focus on her and Nida's two sons, Ayden and Dylan. To make matters worse, Nida has continued filming for the popular series and recently taped a scene with his rumored mistress, Kenya Moore.

The two were spotted filming at Bar One in Atlanta and an eyewitness saw their interaction that still has the entire city of Atlanta talking. The observer, Michelle Brown, who owns a popular blog Straight From The A, wrote that she saw Nida gearing up for the scene, which he knew something wasn't quite right with. Still, he confessed to Moore that he lied to his wife when he told her that Moore came on to him. He said he lied because Moore ran and told Parks that he texted her.

While Moore wanted Nida to apologize, she also threw out an "I'm sorry" for her role in the situation.

Nida is currently waiting to find out when and where he will serve his eight-year sentence. Some of his wife's former and present cast mates have spoken out about his legal woes.

Kim Zolciak, who starred on The Real Housewives of Atlanta through the fifth season, spoke with The Insider earlier this week and said, "It's definitely very unfortunate for her children."

Porsha Williams also shared her thoughts on the sentence. While on Dish Nation July 16 she said, "I called [Phaedra] to tell her that I love her and my prayers are with her. It's a difficult situation. But Phaedra's strong. So I'm sure she'll try to hold her family down through this whole thing."

Nida pleaded guilty to fraud including bank fraud and identity theft. The scam laundered nearly $3 million.
