'Hunger Games' Movie News: New Rebellion Poster Keeps Up With Viral Marketing Campaign, Teases Capitol Army [VIDEO]
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is getting set to release their first full trailer at Comic-Con, but before that they unveiled a new rebellion-themed poster for Comic-Con visitors.
Two New 'Hunger Games' Motion Posters Feature Characters Trapped In The Capitol
The poster was designed by street artist WK Interact and keeps with the viral, guerilla-style marketing the movie has adopted for the final two installments. It has worked well so far as all the views they have offered have given a glimpse at the tone without giving away too much of what will happen in the new movie.
Fans of the franchise may recognize the poster for the third installment as an affirmation of Jennifer Lawrence's character, Katniss, also known as the Mockingjay, joining the rebellion to free the people of Panem.
This is actually the first mention of Katniss so far throughout the marketing campaign, and even so, a clever one because it doesn't come out too bluntly and say it is from her. The trailer at Comic-Con should offer the first glimpse of Katniss from Mockingjay.
The first full trailer will debut on the Galaxy Tab S and those outside San Diego, beginning Saturday, July 26, can visit participating Samsung Experience Shops within Best Buy locations nationwide throughout the weekend to preview the trailer.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a script by Danny Strong. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Jena Malone, Sutherland, Wright, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Stanley Tucci, and Sam Claflin. Mockingjay: Part 1 also introduces Julianne Moore as President Coin.
