'Falling Skies' Season 4 Spoilers: New Species Variations In Store, Human Skitterization Is Only The Beginning [VIDEO]
Human Skitterization is only the beginning of the genetic horrors Falling Skies has in store for season 4.
2nd Mass' Battle To End Next Year, 'Falling Skies' Renewed For Final Fifth Season
Barely a week after announcing plans for a fifth and final season, the cast of the TNT series made their way down to the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con to give fans a glimpse at the second half of season 4.
The 2nd Mass has already lost one member to the Espheni's new plan to "evolve" humanity to their needs, and showrunner David Eick plans to scare the pants of viewers before the season comes to a close.

"[There will be more] new variations on existing species," Eick said, according to Entertainment Weekly. "The Espheni are very immersed in genetics, the idea of altering, the idea of adapting, and corrupting, mutating. It's a terrifying idea, one that resonates. It does feel like a kissing cousin of where we are in real life. Hopefully it'll scare the s- out of you."
Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) and the rest of the 2nd Mass are still separated from each other, but they will have even more to worry about when they reunite. While Ben (Connor Jessup) and Co. know what Lexi (Scarlett Byrne) is capable of, Tom will still have to warn them about what fate awaits them if the Espheni win.
