'The Fosters' Season 2 Spoilers: Callie Might Choose To Live With Her Biological Family, Audiences Might 'Root For The Quinns' [VIDEO]
It looks like The Fosters might take an unexpected turn when Callie makes a decision on whether she'll choose to be with her adopted family or her biological family.
In a clip published on Entertainment Tonight, the cast and crew members all dished on what's been happening this season with Callie finding out about her birth father. Executive producer Peter Paige mentioned that Callie can't get adopted without the permission of her father, Robert Quinn.
This leads to a complicated time for the characters since Callie hasn't known her other family for that long, and her father isn't really the bad guy.
Callie Brings Jude Into Her Other Life
"She's only known the Fosters for about six months," executive producer Joanna Johnson said. "So does she belong with them, really, anymore than she does belong with her actual birth father?"
Even though the young girl might be growing an attachment with the two moms and all of the kids they've been taking care of, Maia Mitchell who plays Callie mentioned that her character might have another thought in the back of her mind.
"I think there is a big part of Callie that is really curious about her heritage and this man and her family and almost what her life would've looked like if Robert hadn't left her mom," the actress said.
Executive producer Bradley Bredeweg also revealed that as much as audiences might want Callie to be part of the Fosters, things could change by the time the finale arrives.
"But I think by the end of the season, you might start to root for the Quinns as well," Bredeweg said.
The Fosters airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
