Guardians of the Galaxy won't hit theaters until Aug. 1, but Marvel Studios already has the wheels in motion for a sequel.

In 2017, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and his team will go another round with writer/director James Gunn for Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
"Yes, I'm writing and directing the sequel to #GuardiansoftheGalaxy for theaters July 28 2017," Gunn tweeted on Saturday while still in the midst of Guardians 1 press.

"But first go see the first one out next week!" Gunn added, cheekily.
With the promise of more galactic adventures hanging in the air, Hulk fans have started to wonder if Bruce Banner and his alter ego may make an appearance alongside Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Groot (Vin Diesel), Drax (Dave Bautista), and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper). The green monster is rumored to have a one-way ticket off Earth at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, but a Planet Hulk solo film has already been ruled out by Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige.

Guardians of the Galaxy will enter theaters on Aug. 1 while Avengers 2 will debut on May 1.
