'Ted 2' Movie: Casting Call Has Hopeful Extras Showing Up In Costumes In Boston For Seth Macfarlane Sequel [VIDEO]
While A Million Ways To Die In The West didn't pan out as well as anticipated for Seth MacFarlane, the writer/director is hoping a return to his first hit could lead to better success moving forward. But why is there a giant line of people dressed in costumes in Boston?
Amanda Seyfried Will Sing An Original Song In 'Ted 2?'
According to Boston Magazine, a large line of costumed people were looking for the chance to play a small role in Ted 2. According to the publication, two weeks ago, Boston Casting released a flier advertising the Ted 2 casting call, which encouraged, but did not require, people to show up in costumes based on movie and comic book characters.
MacFarlane is one of the masaters of bringing pop culture jokes into his work with everything from Family Guy to Ted to his most recent attempt to re-capture the western all filled with references and jokes aimed at moments or icons in pop culture. Could a group of costumed people lead to some sort of joke in Ted 2? It seems likely.

Right now, the plot is unknown with Wahlberg dropping hints to ScreenRant that it may include some sort of variation of a road trip with his character John and Ted (voiced by MacFarlane). Amanda Seyfried, who starred in Million Ways To Die In The West, will play a female lead in the movie, but it is uncertain if she will be a love interest or some temptation for the characters after John committed to his girlfriend (played by Mila Kunis) in the first film.
Ted 2 opens in theaters on June 26, 2015.
