Bryan Fuller is itching to bring Lee Pace to Hannibal, and the Halt and Catch Fire actor wouldn't mind dropping by the psychological thriller.

Major Time Jump Coming On 'Hannibal', Where Will Dr Lecter & Du Maurier Be?

Pace and Fuller have a long history of working together, from Wonderfalls to Pushing Daisies, and Fuller hasn't been quiet about his desire to bring the former Ned to a darker series.

"I had lunch with Bryan two days ago...[and] of course it came up," Pace told TV Line at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. Unfortunately, there is one major obstacle the pair can't seem to overcome. "I'm on another television show. It's not as easy."

Pace is currently waiting to find out if AMC's Halt and Catch Fire will receive a second season. Even the series is renewed, Pace is confidant that he will team up with Fuller at some point in the future.

"I'm very optimistic something like that will happen," Fuller said. "Unless one of us decides to give it all up and go live in a cabin on the top of a mountain, I think it's very, very likely. I should be so lucky. I think Bryan is one of the most talented, innovative people I know."
