Octomom Home Alone Video Interview: Feels 'Empowered' By Performance in Porn
Nadya Suleman, called Octomom by the media, was recently in Phoenix promoting her porn video entitled, "Octomom: Home Alone." The mother of 14 sat down with CBS 5 for an interview where she explained the motivation of "financial gain" in her recent career move that has left her feeling "empowered."
"I would be lying if I said it wasn't for financial gain," Suleman said. The Octomom explained that the thought of doing "more or less soft porn" in "Octomom: Home Alone" was "unfathomable." However, now she must "eat her words" because the need to provide for her children became more serious.
"They take precedence," she said. "It's no one's business how I live life, raise my children or generate revenue to raise my children," Suleman said.
Although Octomom has faced countless death threats and criticism, she says she feels "empowered" by her video performance and desires to keep a level of privacy for her children in spite of being in the public eye.
"My priority has always been my children," she said. "There's really nothing I won't do to support them or care for them. Every good mom or dad can identify with that, providing for their safety, their well-being."
"Healthy open communication is really the way you give them the armor to protect themselves," Suleman said. "You educate, you provide unconditional love and acceptance, and they will have the upper hand, the power if they know ahead of time if, God forbid, they do get teased or bullied. They will have that defense to stand their ground and be strong."
Suleman is currently promoting her video, "Octomom: Home Alone," but is also involved in other jobs including dabbling in music.
"I'm pulling out strengths I never knew I possessed," she said. "I'm in a very, very grateful place."
Suleman turned 37 this month and made headlines in 2009 when she delivered eight babies in one sitting. She turned to stripping and porn after running into difficulties feeding her fourteen children, according to the Miami Herald.
