'American Ninja Warrior' 2014: USA Vs The World Special Announced, Athletes To Compete Head-To-Head [VIDEO]
American Ninja Warrior got some buzz when former gymnast Kacy Catanzaro made history by becoming the first woman to complete the finals course, making her the first woman to get the chance to take on Mount Midioryama in Las Vegas, a course no American has beaten yet.
NBC's America's Got Talent Renewed For 10th Season
Well, anybody who got excited by this bit of news, or found out about American Ninja Warrior through it, there is a big event coming up to get excited about. On Tuesday, The Futon Critic reported on a press release from NBC about the second coming of America Ninja Warrior: USA vs. the World.
The three hour special will see the five of the top American competitors going up against five Japanese competitors and five from Europe as well. All five Americans have made it to the finals in Las Vegas before, and will get the chance to take on Mount Midioryama again. American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. the World will see these athletes compete against one another in a head-to-head competition, with members of each team pitted against one another on the four stage obstacle course in Las Vegas.
Bear Grylls Gets NBC Reality Show
The special will air Monday, September 15 starting at 8:00 p.m. on NBC, and it will be aired as an encore presentation on the Esquire Network the next day. It should be an intense competition, and if anybody completes this course, it will be history, as nobody has managed to do so yet. The US beat Japan in the first head-to-head competition, but now some great European athletes have been added into the mix, and this American Ninja Warrior special kicks it up another notch.
