'Mission: Impossible 5' 2015 Movie: Production Kicking Off In August, First Film To Shoot In 'British Houses Of Parliament' [VIDEO]
With a Christmas 2015 release date set, production on Mission: Impossible 5 is set to get started soon. But according to one of the stars, is it going to make history in one of its filming locations?
Is Jeremy Renner Still 'Strapped' To 'Mission Impossible 5?'
Simon Pegg spoke with CinemaBlend while doing press for his upcoming film, Hector and the Search for Happiness, and spoke about his upcoming workout to get in shape for the Tom Cruise-led vehicle. Pegg played Benji Dunn in Mission: Impossible III and Ghost Protocol.
"We're all ready to go on August 24, which is what I'm being told. Which is why I'm here doing a little press right now, and I'm available, because I might become unavailable very soon," Pegg said.
"As far as I know, we're all set to go. We've got location work first, and then the bulk of the filming will be in Leavesden (Studios), north of London. It's a nice one for me, to be near home."
As for the rumors back in June that the film would be shooting some scenes in the British Houses of Parliament, Pegg was noncommittal to whether it would happen or not.
"I can't confirm that because I haven't been told. But we are shooting in London, so it would make sense, if they were looking to film in places like that, that it would be the case," Pegg said.
"I don't know for definite, but I do know that we are shooting on location in London, so that should be the case. Which would be great."
Metro UK reported the rumor and said that, if true, it would be the first film to do so.
Mission: Impossible 5 is set to open in theaters on Christmas Day 2015 with Christopher McQuarrie directing.
