'The Hobbit' Part 3 News: 'The Battle of the Five Armies' Is A 'Huge Experiment In Technology,' Richard Armitage Reveals [VIDEO]
In a recent interview, Richard Armitage, who plays Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit trilogy, spoke about working on The Battle of the Five Armies.
Armitage spoke to ScreenCrush in an interview dated August 5. While talking about playing Thorin and how close he came to being the character off set as well, Armitage stated that he had to stay in character for a whole day one time.
"We wanted to go camping as the Dwarves. And there was one day on The Hobbit when we were at the top of a mountain and we were left there all day in our costumes," Armitage said. "So, we sort of stayed in character all day and we did helicopter shots and that was when I thought, You know what? If I can stay with the character for 12 hours, maybe I'm inside of him? It doesn't come and go."
