'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Movie News: Baxter Stockman To Cameo In Film, New Clip Features Turtles In Elevator [VIDEO]
It seems like a familiar face will be making a cameo in director Jonathan Liebesmann's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.
During an interview on Wednesday with ComingSoon, star Megan Fox revealed that classic Ninja Turtles villain Baxter Stockman will be appearing in a short cameo during the film. Fox added that "you just have to really look for him, but he's there."
Stockman is best known in the Ninja Turtle universe for creating Mousers, who were machines that tracked down and hunted sewer rats. He appeared in various capacities during the comic books and animated television series, and possibly in the reboot sequel assuming the movie performs well.
On top of the cameo reveal, the movie also released a new clip, which features the turtles running from Shredder's (William Fichtner) men and going up the elevator to find the villain. While in the elevator, the turtles start a beat before running out and allowing Michelangelo to drop his famous line.
The clip sets the tone that the movie will feature not only an array of action sequences, but will also keep the same style of humor that classic Ninja Turtle fans will love.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes from a script by Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Evan Daugherty with Jonathan Liebesman directing. Transformers director Michael Bay is producing. The movie stars Megan Fox, Will Arnett, William Fichtner, and Whoopi Goldberg with Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, and Pete Ploszek playing the turtles. Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub also do voice-work for Leonardo and Splinter.
The movie opens in theaters on August 8.
