'Avengers 2' Joss Whedon Announces End Of 'Age Of Ultron' Filming, What's Next? [VIDEO]
Avengers 2 has finished filming, meaning the film is one step closer to landing in theaters.
'Avengers 2' Joss Whedon On Captain America's Search For Bucky In 'Age Of Ultron'
Writer/director Joss Whedon said Age of Ultron had less than two weeks left to go when he Skyped in to a Nerd HQ panel during the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con, and the talented cineaste took to Twitter on Thursday to announce that shooting was officially wrapped.
"Avengers 2 wrapped, what the hell do I do now?" Whedon captioned a photo of himself looking like he was ready to sleep for a week straight.
Set to hit theaters on May 1, Marvel Studios' Phase Two capstone film will follow Earth's Mightiest Heroes as they attempt to defeat on of Tony Starks' (Robert Downey Jr.) rouge science projects. A robot invented to help keep peace in the world and make the Avengers' lives a bit easier, Ultron (James Spader) will go off the rails when he decides that killing humanity is the only way to make Earth secure.
In addition to Spader and Downey, Age of Ultron will also feature Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), and Paul Bettany (Vision).
