'Falling Skies' Season 4 Spoilers: Lourdes' 'Super Awesome' Death Explained, Seychelle Gabriel Talks Leaving The 2nd Mass [VIDEO]
Falling Skies said goodbye to Lourdes Delgado during "Saturday Night Massacre," and Seychelle Gabriel has opened up about her final days on the TNT series.
Gabriel has played Lourdes since 2011, and the 2nd Mass doctor has gone through some extremely emotional ups and downs over the course of four seasons. After the death of her boyfriend, becoming an alien-controlled mole, and finally thinking she had found the solutions to her problems thanks to Lexi, the troubled fighter became the first to fall in Falling Skies bloodiest battle to date.
"I think her death is super awesome," Gabriel said of the eerie way Lexi sucked the life out of her, according to Falling Skies: Inside the Episode. "My favorite part was figuring out how Lexi was going to specifically kill me, like the mannerisms of it...when does she bend to her knees, how hard is she gripping me, and what does it feel like."
2nd Mass' Battle To End Next Year, 'Falling Skies' Renewed For Final Fifth Season
Lourdes' death put a shocking exclamation point on Lexi's alien nature and her seeming lack of humanity, a dramatic twist of events that launched Falling Skies into the second half of the season.
Unfortunately for Gabriel, she will not be on set when the 2nd Mass' war finally comes to an end in season 5. However, the actress wouldn't trade the time she had with the Falling Skies cast.
"Bitter sweet, that's the word that defines this whole situation because I love everything about everybody on here, and my character, and this whole journey has been just so life changing for me," Gabriel said.
