In an interview with Fox News Latino, Roselyn Sanchez, who portrays Carmen on the hit drama, revealed that while she doesn't know for sure if the show will be back for a third season, she is confident Lifetime will make the decision to renew because the show has been good for the company.
"Everyone is very positive, it's the highest rated show for Lifetime so they need it, we are super proud of it," she said.

Sanchez also went on to talk about how all of the other networks now want a heavily-Latino based show these days, because the show has been so groundbreaking, and noted that this is a radical change from when Devious Maids was being shopped around to the major networks.
"All the networks are going crazy looking for the next Latino project," she said. "They first passed on a jewel, which was Devious Maids, and now they all want something like Devious Maids."
Sanchez's character Carmen had a big storyline in season two of the show. The season began with her on the verge of an all-star music career, before her fiancé Alejandro was murdered by the gang of Beverly Hills thieves. She then became the object of one of the thief's affections, and was present at the wedding in the finale where he drove by with a gun and fired shots into the crowd.
Though Sanchez and other members of her cast are hopeful for a third season, there's no guarantee the show may be picked up again.
While the show had respectable ratings for its second season, viewers came to watch in lower numbers on average, compared to the high ratings the first season brought it.
The drama did face some stiff competition in its 10 p.m. timeslot on Sundays this season, getting beaten by a wide variety of shows, including HBO's Silicon Valley and The Leftovers, AMC's Mad Men, Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta and Real Housewives of New Jersey, Adult Swim's Bob's Burgers, TLC's Return to Amish, TNT's Falling Skies and Discovery's Naked and Afraid.
A decision on the series' fate should be released soon.
