'Thor 3' Rumors: After-Credits Or Mid-Credits For 'Avengers 2' Will Tease Ragnarok Storyline For Third Installment [VIDEO
With Marvel not revealing what will happen past the year 2016 just yet, it seems like another journey to the world of Asgard will be on the menu sometime soon. But could a tease for the next Thor standalone movie be coming closer than most think?
'Thor 3' Script Could Be Done Soon & Does That Mean Movie Will Be Released Sooner?
According to ScreenCrush, there are murmurs that one of the post-credit teasers after Avengers: Age of Ultron will contain a set-up for the Ragnarok plot line that has been long rumored to be the story for Thor 3.
While Marvel has yet to confirm when Thor 3 will happen, star Chris Hemsworth fielded questions at Comic-Con and seemed sure that the third movie would be happening at some point, he was just unsure of when.
'Thor 3' Star Says Movie Is Still Planned, But A Ways Away
Marvel revealed their movie schedule up to the year 2019 with only a 2016 Captain America date and 2017 Guardians of the Galaxy date set in stone. With three dates in 2017, it seems more and more likely that Thor 3 will appear in one of the scheduled slots before Guardians with a return to Asgard having grave consequences.
The Ragnarok plot line has been the rumored story route since the release of Thor: The Dark World with Hemsworth talking about how interested he was in doing the story. If the reports are true, the teaser could give fans an idea of what has been happening in Asgard with Thor on Earth and Loki ruling from the throne with Odin nowhere in sight.
The plot line could also mean the end of either Loki or Thor as well as Asgard.
