Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy may no longer be speaking to one former celebrity partner, but that hasn't stopped him from getting together with his most recent partner.

Chmerkovskiy posted a photo on Instagram on Saturday with him and his Season 18 partner Meryl Davis. The photo was taken at Davis' hometown near Detroit.

"Got to see this one! Finally!" Chmerkovskiy captioned the photo. "Thanks for breakfast @meryledavis."

Davis posted the same photo on her own Instagram, writing, "Missed this one @Maksimc."

Chmerkovskiy and Davis won Season 18 of Dancing With the Stars, making it the former's very first Mirrorball Trophy. This summer he announced that this would be his final season as a performer on the show.

The DWTS couple has battled rumors that they are actually a couple in the real world, explaining to several outlets that they are just friends.

This is the opposite of Chmerkovskiy's relationship with actress Kirstie Alley, who he was partnered with in Season 12. He recently revealed that Alley has stopped speaking with him. The rumor is that Chmerkovskiy's new friendship with Leah Remini, an ex-Scientologist (and vocal opposer of the religion) is what caused the rift. Alley is a known Scientologist herself.

Dancing With the Stars Season 19 is set to premiere Monday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The network is also planning a separate results show for the first two weeks of competition, to air on Tuesday.
