Instead of coming clean regarding her whereabouts for the last four seasons, Ali (Sasha Pieterse) returned to Rosewood bearing a lie about an alleged abduction. The police have wasted valuable resources tracking down her mysterious kidnapper, but they now actually have a suspect in custody for the fictional crime. All Ali needs to do positively ID an innocent man.
If the teen makes the wrong choice, her web of lies could come crashing down.

"I honestly do think that Alison is her [own] biggest threat," Pieterse said, according to TV Fanatic. "I think she is destructing herself. But it all seems to stem from her and what kind of person she's trying to be and it now just escalates and she can't really get out of this hole.
As Ali contemplates her next move, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) will try to convince the rest of the Liars to blackmail the Queen of Mean to keep her from making a bad decision. Ali seems content to destroy her own life, but there are some who believe they shouldn't have to go down with the ship.
