Major Crimes just wrapped up its summer finale last night and kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The Season 3 finale of Major Crimes entitled Zoo Story did just that, too. Creator James Duff even wrote in The Washington Times Reporter on Monday, "Those who watch Major Crimes regularly know that we try to vary the tone from episode to episode," he said. "Some stories are dark and moody; some are light and, occasionally, funny; some are designed to be action-packed thrillers; some are built as studies of human nature. And, usually, we end our seasonal run with a touch of horror."
Duff did not disappoint on an episode about young girls being kidnapped from an under-21 night club. Captain Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) also has to deal with Rusty's mom (played by Ever Carradine) in prison clothing, as she continued to struggle with her sobriety.

Even though last night with the season finale, Duff told fans that the show (which was just renewed for a fourth season), would be back in the winter with their biggest story ever.
"We're so good together now," McDonnell told TV Line last week said about the cast. Major Crimes is a spin-off from TNT's The Closer. "So, you really do come to work looking forward to whomever is in that scene."
Major Crimes will air this winter on TNT.
